Google Apps for Education at NCK Tech

FACULTY & STAFF: To login to your new NCKTC.EDU Google account, navigate to www.google.com and click on Sign In in the upper right hand corner of your screen.  Next, enter your current NCK Tech email address (username@ncktc.edu) and use your college password with a ? mark as the last character.

IMPORTANT – If your current college password contains less than 7 characters, keep adding ? marks on the end until you reach 8 characters.  Next, you will need to accept Googles license agreement and create a new password.  Google requires all passwords be at least 8 characters.  If your current college password has 8 or more characters, you may use that one if you desire.

To transfer your contacts, calendar and old emails – please contact IT staff for assistance to avoid duplicates or errors.

PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that all end users use a web interface for better security, troubleshooting and uniformity.  Any of the major web browser will work – Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. In addition, your mail can easily be accessed from anywhere via computer or smart phone. 

How to setup smart phones with your new NCK Tech Google email account

*All NCK Tech Google accounts require passwords of 8 characters or more.

* To send messgaes to any of these groups, you MUST be a member of that group.

* * If you send a group message please note; the sender of the group message will not get a copy of that group message delivered to their inbox, it will be in your sent items.  In addition, if you try to send a group message from Outlook, it will be held in queue until approved.  So to make group messages work better, always send a group messgae from Google.

* * * If anyone would like a copy of a group message they send to be delivered to their own inbox; cc yourself in that group message.
